SPITTY TIPS — 16. Rear Suspension Setup on Wide Track MKIVs & 1500s

Camber Angle:

Touring0° to 1° neg
Fast Road1° to 2° neg
Race3°+ neg

To achieve the above on an average weight car the spring set needs to be set as per the following:

Touring3 1/2"
Fast Road3"
Race2 3/4"

The spring set is measured by standing the spring on a flat surface and measuring from the surface up to the centre of the spring on the underside, beside the centre bolt. The spring set can be fine tuned with the rubber thrust buttons.

You now need to adjust the toe in/toe out to suit the camber angle:

Touring1/8 to 3/32 toe out
Fast Road1/16 to 1/32 toe out
Race0 to 1/32 toe in

I have set up my 1500 for fast road and it is magnificent.
